I have had this game installed on my old Dell laptop running Windows 10 Pro. I now want to install it on my newer HP laptop running Windows 10 Home.
It seems to install correctly but when I try to run it, I get a message informing me to insert the DVD ROM - which does nothing.
I have copied your suggested .ddl files into the Bin folder. I have run the troubleshooter, also as suggested.
I have instlled it from a the DVD ROM and a USB drive which I have done before (it is much quicker)
I have installed/uninstalled many times now, to no avail.
I have even tried installing my TW PGA Tour 2007 with the same result.
Please help me; it is driving me nuts.

Hello,
So you installed TW08 straight from the DVD, and it installed successfully ? And you also copied both files from the zipfile inside the bin folder, from this link:
http://coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=11246&forum=11
Not sure why it is not working, i think you did everything correct.

You will need to copy and paste the TW2008.exe (4160kb) file into the Bin folder. Say YES when it asks you if you want to overwrite the existing file. When that is done right click on the new TW20008.exe and send copy to desktop. This will be your shortcut for running the game. |

Thank you for your reply. Upon searching the EA Sports folder and sub folders, there is only one TW2008.exe file (8.70 Mb, modified 20/07/2007) and that is already in the bin folder, so I am a bit lost what to do now. Have you any further suggestions? Why should it keep asking me to insert the DVD ROM? On some of the installs I have done these past two days, I thought it was going to work but it informed me that I didn't have enough memory - I have 8GB, and Video memory which I clearly have. One suggestin on this forum suggested reducing the 8gb to 4. That did nothing. I am so frustrated, and I thought I was good with computers; I've been using them and fiddling with them for over 40 years! Any help would be so appreciated. |

Hello, yes the TW2008.exe file (8.70 Mb, modified 20/07/2007) is the one that you have to replace with the one from the zipfile from link below:
http://coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=11246&forum=11
So when you download the zipfile from link above, extract or unzip the zipfile, and then you will see 2 files. copy both files and paste them in the bin folder of TW08, that will overwrite the original file TW2008.exe file (8.70 Mb, modified 20/07/2007) After that it should be possibble to start the game without the TW08 DVD inserted. |

Hello Silvertrumpet, read my post a bit higher. When you put the 2 files in the bin folder, then the memory problem will be fixed, you don t have to change the 8GB memory to 4GB. Placing the 2 files in the bin folder should fix all problems |

I followed your instructions with no success.
I have ordered another DVD ROM and will (again) uninstall and install with that when it arrives, because another problem I have had these last couple of days, is that it did not recognise my serial code even though I know it is correct because I have used it several times.
It is so annoying because it has always worked perfectly on my old laptop with Won 10 Pro and 4GB. The new one has Win 10 Home and 8 GB RAM.
We'll see. |

Here's a strange thing: having changed the Maximum memory in BOOT Advanced Options, as advised I have changed it back to 8192 as it was originally. I click OK and Apply and rebstard the system. Then when I go back to Advanced Options the Maximum box is still ticked and the setting is for 0. |

You have to uncheck ( untick ) the maximum memory box. When you uncheck ( untick ) the maximum memory box, then your pc will automatic use the maximum memory on your system. So when you uncheck the maximum memory box, then your pc will automatic use the 8192 mb again. |
