Hello rwilk Both versions are the same ( A and B ), only the flag position on the green is different. So the flag position on the green is different, but the rest of the course is exactly the same.
Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees. |

Course A has 1 pin position, and course B has also 1 pin position. So both courses have only 1 pin position. ( 1 position for dificcult pins, and 1 position for easy pins = 2 pins in total ) This is the reason: CGX website ( closed for many years now ) had a weekly tourney on the PGA courses they created. So they did a round on course A and a round on course B, they were sure every player had exactly the same pin position, since there was only one pin positon on the A and B course.
When you play another course that has for example 2 difficult pin positions, then TW08 will take random one of both difficult pins when you start to play the course. So when you start a round with 2 players playing offline, and you set it to difficult pins, then it is possibble both players have a different pin position.
So to be sure the players had exactly the same pin position, CGX designers created a A and B course with only one pin position. ( 1 position for dificcult pins, and 1 position for easy pins = 2 pins in total ) |

Is it posable to add missing cup placements in a course like the cgx courses? I want to use them in career.. But in a 4 round event the cups should be changed.. Im guessing as is there will only be 1 placement for all 4 rounds... If its not to hard I would like to for my own use...
and where are/what tools would I need. Haven't seen anything for a course editor yet |

Hello, it is impossible to change things in a course. The courses are created with Course architect 06, you need the oririginal course architect file ( .tca ) of that course. So only the course designer can change things in the course, if he still owns the course architect file ( .tca ) of that course.
Note: i think the CGX courses have 1 easy pin, and 1 difficult pin position. So if you make 2 rounds with easy pins and 2 rounds with difficult pins then you have two different flag positions. |
