Hi Everyone,
I am still having problems getting to run TW08 on 2 of my PC''s. I bought the game on disc after I had problems with the downloaded one in my Origin library. I installed the game on an old laptop I hadn''t used for years and it runs perfect,also runs perfect on my daughters laptop..The problem I''m getting on the older PC and a newer PC,is after installation I get 2 error codes which are the same on both PC''s.
1.Directx is reporting not enough video memory,I have 16gb installed on the newer PC and I have reduced the memory down to 4096 by going through system configuration.I have 8gb installed on older PC and have done the same reduction in memory as the newer PC, but still won''t run the game.
2.The installed graphics card is not compatible with the game. In the newer PC I have a 4GB Nvidia GTX 1050Ti and in the older PC I have a 2gb Nvidia GT710( which is supposed to be compatible with the game according to the game compatablity list. I have also tried running the game a 2 GB Nvidia GT610 card as well and still the same outcome.
I am now at my wits end with trying to get the game to run and hopefully someone can come up with some different ideas..I am wondering if I install windows 7 on the older PC do you think it might work,as that is the only other solution I haven''t tried.

Hello, yes sometimes it can be a pain to get TW08 working on a win10 or win8 system.
Some people can t get it to work.
There is some help on link below:

Its a bit trial and error, but Method 3 (by JoSummer) worked for me on that link, and it is easy to do.
Important: after you did one of the three methods, then you still have to do: Automatically Change Compatibility Mode Settings for App in Program Compatibility Troubleshooter
For your other question, yes TW08 works much better on a win7 system, you wont get that directx error message on win7.
Its not 100% guaranteed you will get it working on Win7, but there is a very good chance it will work. |

Good news,I finally got TW08 to run on my older PC after installing Windows 7,still a no go on the newer PC running Windows 10,but at least I got a rig to run it on now,appreciate your help in giving me links to solutions..
