My desktop computer had 8GB memory. TW 08 ran fine. I recently upped my computer memory to 16GB.
Now I get the directX video memory. Fix one allows me to run up to 8.192GB memory. I have tried installing fix 2 but I need a little help as I am still getting the directX memory error.

Hiya Ted1, yes it is possible fix 2 is not working on your system, we received messages on some systems some fixes are not working.
In the worst case you can do fix 1, but as you said you have to restict the memory to 8GB it looks.
I did fix 3 , it works perfect for me, its easy to try, and you don t have to restrict your memory.
So maybe it is good idea to try fix 3 first. |

| After I downloaded Method 3 when I tried to extract to a new folder My antivirus program Norton Securities intercepted the file. It said it contained heuristic virus. I'm a little nervous to override my antivirus program. Any ideas? We can continue this in the morning. |

Hiya Ted,
yes some anti virus programs report it as heuristic virus, but the file is harmless.
The only thing you can do is to put an exclusion in Norton on the file.

But maybe it is one step to far, and its not 100 % sure method 3 will work, up to you.
