Due to scratches my disc is not readable. I have read an article about using tooth paste to remove scratches. Anybody try this? Also anybody have experience with getting discs form ebay?

Hello rwilk,

I never tried it myself, but this is what i found on the internet:

Clean the disc with a mild soap and warm water. This will remove any oils and finger marks.
Dry the disc with a lint-free cloth.
Squeeze toothpaste on the disc.
Rub the toothpaste on the disc in a straight motion (not in a circular motion) from the center to the outer edges.
Wash off the toothpaste and dry the disc.

Yes you can still find TW08 on ebay:

Be sure you buy a PC windows version and not the PC mac version.

Most are PC windows, but some versions you can buy are for PC Mac.

If you buy on e-bay the seller Maykk is good as I have purchased from him the TW08 PC game and it works fine as I am still using that disc. Later on I bought a second disc just in case I get what you are now having. Have had no problems from this seller. Another method I have learned is that there are some businesses that can polish your disc so that it is usable again - like maybe a pawn shop or a used store company. I would try Gunpower61 method first as there is nothing to lose and cheapest. The e-bay seller is not cheap but so far he has been good to buy from. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks for the replies. I did try toothpaste in the manner suggested and it works at least in my case. My disc was quite scratched. For anyone else that gets a disc that no longer reads it's worth a try.
