I currently have Windows 7 Pro.
2 Questions:
If I upgrade to Windows 10, will I have to install all programs again?
If I upgrade, what is the difference from W10 Home and W10 Pro?
Thanks for any feedback. |

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.

Hiya Lawrence,
Most users will be doing an 'in-place upgrade' through Windows Update; in that case, most of your programs (including your user data) should automatically move over without any problems. Some more help on link below: https://www.infopackets.com/news/9630/windows-10-upgrade-do-i-have-reinstall-programs
Not sure about TW08, but you will have to run it in compatibility mode to get it to work, some more help below: http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=10362&forum=32
Below is a link that explains the difference between Win10 home and pro: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/feature/windows/windows-10-home-vs-windows-10-pro-uk-difference-3618710/ |

Thanks for the help Pat. The reason for the enquiry is that I was thinking of getting a laptop with dedicated XP in order to run the CA. However most laptops come today with W10 pre-installed. I was advised by the sales person that W10 is better than W7 insomuch as you can run older programs such as TW08 and more importantly CA by running in compatibility mode. I did not want to go down that route if the CA will not run with this OS. |

I would partition the HDD and load Windows XP on it if that's what you're primarily using it for. |
