Have come to a conclusion that TW08 is running both on my C Drive(SSD) AND my E Drive(HDD) at the same time and coming to that decision was because with either drive disabled TW won't start? I have also noticed that there are multiple players, that I use (in game), with the same name and the multiples are also in the documents player files. Don't know if this affects the game or not, but, would really like to straighten this out. This is one of the reasons for my post above in the shoutbox of copying everything from one to another drive? So any help would be appreciated! I don't know if uninstalling from both drives and then disconnecting one drive and re-installing TW on the remaining drive would do the trick or not? Thanks in advance!

By any chance is your current E drive your old C drive? I could see that as an issue if the game wasn't completely migrated from your old drive to the new. I would start by disconnecting the current E drive and then uninstall the game from your current C drive and reinstall. Get the game where you are comfortable with it on the SSD and go from there. Make sure that all your files are still on the old drive so that you can move them later. I just moved the game from my laptop to my desktop and I wouldn't think the process would be too different from that. As JB said you can't just copy the game over, you need to install it on the new C drive. |

Thanks Husk for the input appreciated, and yes, my old c drive was the E drive so somehow both drives has TW''''s on them. I will do what you suggest and hopefully that will cure it. Here''''s my question though, if everything is "installed" on both drives why can''''t I start them from either of the drives when the other drive is disconnected?? Problem is probably bad migration, so install on C and then copy libraries and courses from E? So once game is uninstalled and re-installed on C and files copied from E drive, is there a way to delete the copy on the E drive? Thanks again |

I think after you uninstalled and reinstalled TW08 on you C drive: Try to disconnect E drive and look if you can still play TW08 game on your C drive. When that works then you probably have a clean install of TW08 on you C drive. But you will have to reinstall the custom libraries and courses. When you have fast download then you can do it with the create myzip feature. I upgraded your create myzip size to the highest level so you can use it. |

best would be to uninstall from both - save player files from docs so you can recreate player with same name, then paste over the needed files )they're i a post somewhere LOL)
also save entire EA folders as mentioned in SB reply to a non c://programs or e:/programs location
then reinstall fresh to the drive you want paste back one of the EA folders to regain any scorecard, swing meter, slider bar etc mods already there
then can reinstall libs from either saved folder, and zip, then install custom courses if you don't have them saved elsewhere

Thanks again for the upgrade Pat, and thanks for the help JB, greatly appreciated!! The other thing is as far as uninstalling both drives it seems when I fire up CC cleaner it only shows Tiger on the C drive?, but basically everything is in the E drive also? Maybe uninstall from C drive then delete files from E?

Like JB said I would copy the EA folder to another place (not somewhere TW08 is going to look at) on the C drive and after a clean install to the C drive you can start adding things back. After all is done and your files are on the C drive the way that you want them and any E drive files that you want/need are saved to another drive, I would wipe the E drive and start with it fresh.
I know what a pain this migration is. I am in the middle of installing all my custom courses and libs to my desktop as I type this. |

After zipping all my libraries, just wondering what is the best way to introduce them to the game? Delete the ones in the caddy OR just unzip them into the computer-win7(C)-program files-EA SPORTS-TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 08? Thanks for your help |

Tagrocket, you will need to reinstall the libraries into the game using the Caddy. IMHO it is best to package the files into one folder but only put in maybe 25-50 at a time. You are going to find that once you click to install on the folder you will also have to accept and click each file. After a while you will wish you broke the folder up even more.. it takes time to install the libraries and if you have over a thousand or so, you will be grateful you did them in batches. ed |
