With so many Great Courses still being released by the Brilliant Designers is it possible that someone could set up a new Site to replace CGX so that Members who do not have Hamachi, Teamspeak or Skype can play in a Tournamant set at their own level as and when they want to. Hopefully someone will be able to set something up as I am sure that there are others the same as me who miss the weekly Competition.

Doesn't golf-4fun.org take care of this issue? I have to be honest I have been trying to do a lot of recording of my own career and putting it on YouTube so I haven't had the chance to get over there lately.

You are correct of course. Golf4Fun does run a site but I hoped there would be another site set up in opposition maybe.

Sory to see there is such a lack of idea's.

I would also like to see another stats based tour website, but I do think that you underestimate the work behind a website, Peter.

That's probably the problem, the time you have to invest in a website. Without the help of MarkB (current G4F Head-Admin) and retired JPDenny the Golf-4Fun Tour would have shut down years ago ... because I hardly have the time to take care of it - except for the tech stuff.

However, I could provide a launcher (for game-stats) if a community member wants to (seriously) start a tour website.

My bad ... for all who don''t know who Happyhebbi is:

HappyHebbi joined the Golf-4Fun Tour in 2006 - yea right, the tour exists for 10 years now - was one of the first members. He became the head of the admin team, was responsible for the tour administration for years. Sadly, I don''t know what happened to him, because after a dispute he quit and never answered to my emails.

I do not see how you can better Jo Summers site and Tournaments, theres all levels of play and golf for fun rounds, the game Launcher automatically returns your score, there are 2 other severs besides Hamachi, ( gameranger and tunggle ) where other clubs like the yellow jackets play=on gameranger, there are also lots of friendly rounds on there as well, so i don't see what you really want.

I guess that I can see both sides of the issue. Jo and his staff have done an awesome job maintaining the Golf 4 Fun site. As Jo said the tremendous work that goes into it would be overwhelming for any one of us.
The only thing that I can see, and this is a reflection on ones own ability, is that I think that there needs to be a better way of choosing a flight that one might be in. In Golf4Fun you have 4 flights and some that are way better than most others can play games all over the board from expert down to Novice. It gets very frustrating when you play against someone, or the field, where you have not a prayer of coming close to shooting a birdie or eagle on every hole in order to win. I'm not saying that you need to win to make the game satisfying, but it would be nice to be in a flight that makes it a little more competitive for all to enjoy.
It would seem that if you are at the expert level and are good at that level, why would you need to play the novice field? I know that if I birdied or eagled every hole that I played I would fast lose interest in the game. There has to be a way of making it a challenge for everyone involved, even if they stink at the game like me. :-)

Peter05 mentioned all the new CGX courses now being available, using these courses in it`s self can make any Tournament for any league more difficult as ? I`am quite sure the CGX or old PGAX courses used different faster textures for the greens and on Expert V Dry can be very hard, I think you have to accept the best players like ( Stigge or Golfersmid ) just to mention 2 , are Expert players of this game , there are many more Great players of course, ? Most Leagues run a Handicap system so that evens things up a bit ?.

We have to accept there are lots of great players at the top level , but ? most Leagues have a Handicap System, which must even things out a bit.
Have some real fun play 2 click Expert with no Yardage Chart or go one better , install the custom player Arnold Palmer and play 2 click Expert / no Yardage chart , because Arny cannot hit the ball as far and you cannot alter his clubs or balls :) lol
