I tried to reinstall TW08 on my laptop but it will not start unless you have EA download manager installed???
EA download manager is replaced by Origin but still it won't start!

I have never heard of this issue. Do you have the disk version of the game? Or do you have a digital version (which I have never heard of either)? The disk version does not require download manager. Any extra install popups that appear during the install process (EA Online for example) can be ignored.

Yes there was also a download version of TW08, you might find some help on link below:

Is TW2008 still available on EA Origin market place? I guess EA removed the game that's why you run into problems. The game is installed, but you cannot run it - right ???
