1.Intro: -------
With this tool you can select the courses you want to see visible in TW08. The other installed courses will be invisible in TW08. So no need to click a lot of times in TW08 to find the course you want to play.
2. Installation: ---------------
First download CLTool08 from Coursedownloads: http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=624
( or go to section: Utilities...Utilies and files for TW08.....Course design tools...and download this file: CL Tool 08 )
Create a new folder on your desktop ( or other location ), and extract or unzip the downloaded zipfile ( 624_cltool08) inside.
First you have to unzip the downloaded zipfile ( 624_cltool08).
After you extracted or unzipped the zipfile, you will see a folder: CLTool08 Iside the folder CLTool08.......go to the file: CLTool08.exe ( application )
For Vista...Win7 and Win8 and win10 users (you only have to do this once): Right click CLTool08.exe.....choose properties.....on top click: Compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator...and hit: Apply
(For Win10 it might be this way: Right click TWCaddie08 icon....choose properties....on top click: Shortcut......and then on bottom click: Advanced And check the Run as administrator box, and click: OK )
Now dubble click CLTool08.exe ( application) , and CLTool08 will open. ( First time you open it can take a few minutes before it opens ) In the middle you will see a tab: Cloak Right click any place above the button Cloak ( Not on the button, but above it) and a popup will appear. In popup list click: Allow cloaking of courses (you only have to do this once) After that it should be possibble to cloak the courses.
3. How to use the modfied tool: ------------------------------
Inside the New folder go to folder CLTool08.....and dubble click: CLTool.exe Now CLTool08 will open and on top left side you will see: Courses......Libraries......Projects When you hit Courses you will see all ( visible ) installed courses on the left side. On the middle of the screen you will see: Cloak......and uncloak. Cloack = make courses invisible in TW08 Uncloack = make courses visible in TW08
On left side select the course on top...hold left mouse key....and drag mouse down to the last listed course, now all courses on the left side should be selected. Now in the centre hit: Cloak..........and all selected courses from the left will go to the right side ( invisible courses ) Now on the right side select the course you want to see in TW08.........and hit: Uncloak So basic: all the courses listed on the left side will be visible in TW08 All courses at the right side will be invisible.
Now close everything and start TW08......and you will only see the uncloacked courses. (Note: When you open TWCaddie08 you will only see the uncloacked courses aswell in TWCaddie08) |

Is there a way to speed this part up? Does it depend on how many courses you have?
Thanks |

Hiya, yes i believe it depends how many courses you have installed. The Cloaking tool will read the registry entrees for all installed courses and libraries, so i think it will take longer when you have loads of courses and libraries installed. For me the first time i open CLoaking tool it takes some time to read all courses, but when i open it a second time then it is going faster. I dont think you can speed it up. |

Thanks. It takes my slow a$$ computer about 2 minutes to open it up the first time and about 2 seconds if I close it and open it again. I have about 625 courses. |

Hello. I have downloaded your Cloaking tool but did not install it yet. I have one question. Is there a possibility to loose one or all courses if I use this tool?

Hello Dan, with the tool you can cloak ( make invisible ) as many courses as you want. You can make 1 course invisible or 10 or 100...whatever you want. What i somtimes do is to cloak ( make invisible ) all courses, so they are all invisible. After that i uncloak ( make visible ) a few courses i want to see in TW08. |

I did install this cloaking tool. I use Windows 7 and with the instruction was an easy task to install. I find this very interesting to use as I do not have to stroll down all the courses to choose one when playing. I now can cloak/uncloak any number of courses as I wish.
Thanks for the great tool. |

Thanks Pat!
Exactly what I was looking for all these while. Now don't have to scroll all over to locate the courses.
Just one thing, we can't cloak the original courses can we?
Thanks
