Hello all!
I am looking for a course from a previous TW game. It was set in an asian setting somewhere. I do believe it was a fantasy course.
Also, I am looking for a course that I think was in a previous TW game as well where all the holes are elevated and surrounded by water. It was a very difficult course.
Does anyone remember the names or where I can find them? |

better off looking at 08 courses, they run best on 08, there is a list of 07 and 06 courses that run decent to well on 08, but the game engine changed with 08 - so some previous years' courses may have issues depending on your system
for 08 courses Sakurajima by homeboy is an excellent asian course so is Bali Golf & GC by big9324, which is an 'update' of justastiffy's 05 version |

Do I download them or have to import them from the disk? |

The courses in the list are TW06 or TW07 custom courses that are available for download on Coursedownloads site. so you have to download the courses and install them in TW08 with TWCaddie08. You will probably receive a message a few TW06 or TW07 stock libraries are missing, but you can download all missing stock libraries from Coursedownloads.
Below you can find all TW06 stock libraries: http://www.coursedownloads.com/coursesource/libraries.asp?LibName=&ArchName=EA&guid=&sort=LibName&gameid=8&action=Search
Below you can find all TW07 stock libraries: http://www.coursedownloads.com/coursesource/libraries.asp?LibName=&ArchName=EA&guid=&sort=LibName&gameid=9&action=Search

''I am looking for a course from a previous TW game. It was set in an asian setting somewhere. I do believe it was a fantasy course''.
This may be Emerald Dragon from the TW2007 game, you will need the original game disks to get this course. It plays OK in TW2008. |

How do I export that course? Via the TW 08 Caddie or just copy the folder over? Does it have to be installed (07) to gain access to the course to import into 08?
Also, do you remember the course (fantasy again I think) that was set in like an oceanic or sea setting that had the holes surrounded by water. It was a difficult course if I remember. The greens were very tight to try to hit. |

Just copy it from your 07 disk and install with the caddie. Try Greek Isles from TW2006, if you have the disk. I am presuming that you are referring to courses from old TW games, as you only joined recently and would not have had time to download many courses from this site |

there is no "exporting" in the TW series of games really each course and any required libraries (for custom courses) need to be installed using twcaddie or other installer - whether it is a stock course from cd/dvd or one of the custom ones
the course files or library file need to be in .zip file format
suggestion: use a dedicated download course folder and/or library folder to save your downlaoded files, custom libraries are often used for different courses, but they only need to be installed once
if you want a course from 07 to use in 08 - stock course already installed in your 07 game, then go to the courses folder, zip the entire folder, save it somewhere, then use twcaddie to install from the saved location - if you don''t have 07 installed, you need to find the course.zip file on the 07 install disk, then copy it your download folder to install
lots of course install forum topics, and twcaddie comes with a help file also |
