Hello, we can t see the file you attached, because the file is not supported here. what you can do is to put the file in a zipfile. After that attach the zipfile in the forum, that should work.
About your problem, there are 2 things you can try:
First thing: There is a good chance it is a cooling problem of your PC or graphics card. In a lot of cases there is dust inside the PC, when there is a lot of dust inside the PC then you will have a cooling problem. Several people on the site solved it by cleaning the PC. Remove the power cable of the PC and remove the cover of your PC. After that blow the dust out of your system. IMPORTANT: !!!!! Don''''t use a vacuum cleaner, the static electricity can destroy your system!!!!!
Second thing: I think you already did the confidence folder, but i add it here just in case: There is a bug in the TW08 game, all members should do this fix. When you played some courses you will see the loading times between holes are increasing, the game will become slower and slower. Do next steps to solve the problem:
1) On desktop you will see the folder My Documents. Open this folder. ( when you are using Vista or Win7 or Win8: on desktop look for folder: User (or username).....inside you will find: Documents ) 2) Inside My documents look for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008. Open this folder and then open the folder Career 3) Inside Career open the folder Players. Inside this folder, look for your playersname folder and open it. 4) Open the folder Confidence. 5) Inside you will find these files: Hole Type.tcn and Shot Type.tcn. delete both files. 6) Important step here! Restart the TW08 game and play 1 hole on any stock course, then close TW08 game. 7) Go back to same Confidence folder and you will see both files are regenerated: but now they are very small in size. Now right click the Hole Type.tcn file and choose Properties. Check the box next to Read Only and click OK. Now do the same thing for the Shot Type.tcn file. |

One other thing to add to Pat's offering is that you may need to adjust the graphics in game. Even if you have a newer system the graphics card may not be beefy enough to handle some courses with the graphics on defaults. I have all choices either off or on low in the graphics options and the game still looks really good IMHO. In the main menu go to options and under graphics you choose manual settings. I have moved the slider to best performance and put the rest on either off or low, except flags, they still flutter in the breeze.
Hope that helps!

New information |
|
I''ve never seen a speccy file before. Don''t have anything that will open it. Sorry!!!
If you have Win 7, can you just use the snipping tool? We should all be able to see that.
Ooops! Just found the program at Piriform. Handy little tool.
From what I can see your graphics card should be just fine unless someone else can tell you different. You may want to check out the following link. It may help you determeine where your graphics card stacks up. Don''t click on the link to update your driver unless you want to pay for a program that will update your drivers for you. I choose not to since not all updates are good updates. The scan is valid though. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri |
