I have downloaded CLsetup07 and am in the process of installing some of those courses in TW07. I am having trouble with a lot of .ini file names not matching the course name or so the CLsetup is telling me. The course won't load when I go into the game. I get an error that it is looking for a file and the file name has some wierd looking characters after the .tcl or .tcr file extention.
It's been a long time since I used CLsetup but I think that I am using it correctly.
Anyone have any ideas what I may be doing wrong? |

Hello, don t worry about the ini file warnings, it should be no problem to play the course.
When you are using Win7 or win8 or Vista, then you will have to run CLsetup as administrator, some more help below:
There are several ways to install the course + libraries, below is help how you can do it with CLsetup07.
first install CLsetup07, you can download it on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=619
when you installed CLsetup07, you will find icon on desktop.
Important when you are using win7 or Win8 or Vista:
right click CLsetup07 icon on desktop.....choose properties......Compatibility.....and check box: Run as administrator
Now you have to create a new folder on your PC,You can create it where you want, but not in TW game.
I created new folder on my desktop.
In this new folder you will have to download the course zip file+ all listed libraries zip files.
( no need to unzip the downloaded files, CLsetup can handle zip files )
When you found course you want to download:
On left side you will see:Coursedownloads.net ( Click on it to download course )
On right side you will see : Library name.....with list of all required libraries.
You will have to download all listed libraries on the right side, click on each library name to download.
( Example: when you have course + 5 listed libraries, you will have to download 6 files.Course file + 5 libraries )
When you downloaded course+libraries in new folder:
Dubble click CLsetup icon on desktop and popup screen will appear...in this popup screen you will have to browse/find the new folder where you downloaded course+libraries.
When you found: First dubble click all library zip files, agree with all questions and libraries will be installed in TW game.
At last dubble click the course zip file, agree with all questions and course will be installed in TW game.

Note: When you downloaded CLsetup07 zipfile:
First extract or unzip the downloaded CLsetup07 zipfile.
After you unzipped or extracted the zipfile you will see: Clsetup07-1.0.exe
Dubble click Clsetup07-1.0.exe and CLsetup07 will be installed on your PC.
When installed correct you will have CLsetup07 icon on your desktop.

So should I not use the .myzip feature on the website? Just download the files individually?
I followed your instructions only using the .myzip file and CLsetup07 is doing the funky things stated above. |

some designers werent aware thsat the ini file has to have the exact same name as the course (tcr) file or else clsetup-7 calls it an error - just click yes to the rename
go ahead and use the myzip for 07 courses downloaded
jorgen who wrote clsetup made allowance for that type of file
and it will display a message that it is a myzip file and then attempt to split the download and install each one separately
- has always worked for me, zip or myzip install just fine |
