I was playing an online game with some friends today when I got booted back to the desktop. When I tried to get online again I get an error message that read "a required component could not be loaded. Please see EA sports online section of readme".
I tried rebooting and received the same error message. I have no idea what's required component is and do NOT want to have to reinstall Tiger Woods if I don't have to. I'm hoping somebody can give me some sage advice as to how to correct the problem?

Not sure this will help you, but maybe you can try to delete the folder: EA Sports Online
This info was provided by one of our members: petrap417
For some people that get booted out of the game, weather it be game ranger hamachi or any other online gaming site that you play tiger woods game:
There is no need to have the EA sports online folder it can be deleted al together.
The folder is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\EA SPORTS online
( Note: Not all people will have the folder installed, when you installed TW game you had the option to install it yes or no )
I see people getting booted and found that if deleted it goes away for the most part.
So when you have the folder EA Sports online, you can delete the whole folder.
It only served as a portal for the EA server, since it no longer exist you dont need it any more
Oh and if ur not comfortable doing this just send it to a folder on ur desktop should work fine.

Thanks,I appreciate the feedback. However I could not find EA sports Online folder on my hard drive. I guess I did not install it. Any other thoughts was certainly be appreciated as I loath the idea of having to reinstall everything. :-)

The read me folder in the EASO folder states
Please contact EA SPORTS online and download their component into this directory.
Remove this readme.txt file.
Difficult to do when it no longer exists. Maybe worth a try to install just the EASO from your TW2008 disk. When you open the disk the installer is in the CommonEASO folder. |

It is easy to reinstall the EASO components as Jimbo63 said in previous post, worth to try that:
Go to your DVD drive with TW08 game......right click DVD drive and choose: Browse or explore
(Or dubble click DVD drive )
Now on TW08 DVD look for folder: Common Easo
Inside Common Easo folder, you will see: Easo installer
Dubble click: Easo installer........and online components will be installed.
