Hiya King, follow steps below:
To install TW08 custom courses you need automatic installer TWCaddie08. When you are using automatic installer TWCaddie08, be sure to use the right version (32bit or 64bit version), and on Win7 or Win8 or Vista you will have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator. Just follow the instructions below:
Below is some TWCaddie08 help, when you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista. Instructions are for Win7, but same for Win8 or Vista.
First you have to know you have win7 32..... or win7 64 installed on your PC. Below is link how you can find that info about win7:
http://windows7themes.net/what-windows-version-do-i-have-32-or-64.html
(or on desktop go to: Start....Control panel...system and security...and click: System )
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=11
( Or on top of Coursedownloads homepage go to section: Utilities.....Utilities and files for TW08....Course installation tools )
On that page you will see 2 download links:
when you have win7 32.... download this one: TW Caddie 08 v1.5
when you have win7 64... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta
When you donwloaded the TWCaddie08 zipfile to your PC, first you will have to unzip or extract the downloaded zipfile, and when unzipped dubble click: setup.exe
When you installed TWCaddie08 correct you will have TWCaddie08 icon on your desktop.
Important step: When you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista, you have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator:
On desktop right click TWCaddie08 icon and choose: Properties......Compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator
And hit: Apply
Note: When you go in TW08 to the courses list, and there is no logo, then you should see an empty hexagon spot, when you click the empty spot it should be possible to start the course. ( the courses are listed alphabetic in TW08 ) |

I would like to add to this post the HUGE benefit of donating to this site 10 to 25 dollars a when donations are requested. You are then able to download all your courses and libraries compress into one MyZip file.
If you save your MyZip courses on an external HDD or DVD's you won't need to re-download them. Your collection will always be there to reinstall for whatever reason.
You're also reducing the costs for bandwidth by saving the MyZip files.
TW08 will be around for a very long time, regardless of any new installed PC games that may be on the horizon.

Hiya, the course plays perfect without that text file, it is a textfile with the course description that is missing, because you didn t install the course correct. It is easy to fix when you want that textfile: After you installed the course with twCaddie08, go inside the course folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Cypress Point 08 Inside the coursefolder ( Cypress Point 08 )you will see the textfile: Course.txt Now you have to replace this file ( Course.txt ) with the file ( Course.txt ) that is inside the course zipfile you downloaded from Coursedownloads. Note: sometimes the textfile in the downloaded course zipfile will have another name, then you have to rename it to: Course.txt before you paste it in the course folder.
